Keeping up with last year’s announcement that the forthcoming James Bond movie would be called Skyfall, the trailers have begun surfacing on the net and everywhere. Tonight was the first showing of the 'I Am Number Four' movie by D J Caruso on British TV. I never had a chance to see it in the cinema or DVD. We made some popcorn and switched the laptop off and sat to watch it with my daughter Abi. The movie had a fast paced first 2 minutes that suddenly turned into an extremely slow motion for the next 30 minutes and then rewarded us with a spectacular blast of sustained action and the promise of even better to come. This could be the start of something great.

When I heard the rumours that Next Generation on HD, I did not think it was true as I was sure it was shot on video and not film, and now StarTrek.com can officially confirm it: Star Trek: The Next Generation will be released in high-definition Blu-ray, starting in January with a sampler of several popular episodes, followed by a season-one set to be released later on in 2012, and subsequent seasons beaming down after that which would keep broadcasters happy as StarTrek repeats seem to still have significant viewing.

Vin Diesel in live action follow-up to Pitch Black & The Chronicles of Riddick Vin Diesel in live action follow-up to Pitch Black & The Chronicles of Riddick
By Salar Golestanian @ 13 Aug 2011 :: Article Rating
A live action follow-up to Pitch Black and The Chronicles of Riddick is something I have been waiting years for since 2004. Pitch Black helped launch star Vin Diesel’s career and it spawned a big budget sequel which didn’t meet critical or financial success the studio hoped for. Since then however, writer/director David Twohy and Vin Diesel have taken it upon themselves to find a way to make Riddick 3 happen, one that would return the franchise to its simpler, harsher roots and wrap-up the story of Riddick.

In 1963, Charles Xavier starts up a school and later a team, for humans with superhuman abilities. Among them is Erik Lensherr, his best friend... and future archenemy. I eally wanted to see the movie but, unfortunately these days having two kids under 5, seeing movies like X-Men has become very challenging. So I have to wait for X-Men as blue ray before I see it. However, I have a few links and a few words from my favorite reviewers.

The Secret of the Unicorn has hit YouTube seven months before the movie is set to premiere. This is probably by design to start everyone talking about it. The movie, a collaboration between director Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson, uses motion-capture 3D technology (a la Avatar) to create very realistic computer animation. The first few seconds of the trailer tease the effect by showing characters in shadows and in a glass reflection.

Paramount Pictures has just released the new 2.5 min trailer is probably the last before the Movie Release in July. This trailer gives us a little more detail about the film’s plot.  There’s certainly a lot of eye candy (considering that its 3D it was expected), but it becomes what looks like a full on Decepticon invasion of Earth. And the trailer hints that the Autobots feel betrayed by the U.S. government and let us take on the Decepticons on our own.
