In this release Square Enix has a new story in store that stems from the previous title, a battle system that is evolved from “XIII” – and more… According to Andrian Arnese the Senior Brand manager at Square Enix.

Production on is currently underway, and the plot is based on the story line of ‘Final Fantasy XIII which was released in March 2010 and so far has shipped 6 million units worldwide. It also features a brand new story and evolved battle system promise to stand out markedly against the standard for high-quality content established by the previous title.

Since the original release of ‘Final Fantasy’ in 1987, this series continues to showcase the impressive visuals, highly ingenious worlds and rich stories leading the industry that has had fantastic reception from users around the world. The total shipments for the game title are over 97 million units.
